Child Protection

Through funding from Seyaj Organization, Efadah have implement child protection project with aim to help addressing the immediate protection needs of IDPs children in Gofl Shamer district of Hajjah. The project aim to contribute to reducing the risks of violence against children. Through this project, Efadah has implemented the following activities:

  1. Establish 2-child safe place in 2 IDPs sites, provided with equipment’s and materials that require to support the violence survivors.

  2. Protection monitoring and vulnerability assessments at households and community level, identification of risks faced by children in IDPs sites.

  3. Organized psychosocial counseling sessions for violence survivors, carry out non-curricula activities including sport activities and recreational initiatives for boys and girls inside child friendly space

  4. Selected 15 members as community-based child protection networks and build their capacity on prevention and response to the violence against children and implemented community awareness sessions that focus on violence against children, and encourage the community participation in these sessions.

  5. Establish child protection reporting mechanism in collaboration with child protection cluster and its partners.

The project reached 750 households (5,250 individual)
