Food Security
Food Security Project.
Through OCHA Funds, NRS and Efadah implemented a food security project with aim to contribute improving access to essential food by providing 4 rounds of food vouchers assistance to the most vulnerable families in Gufl Shamer of Hajjah - Yemen.
The project targeted 1,878 households (13,146 Individuals) women, men, boys and girls), in particular those in Integrated Food Security Phase Classification 4 and 5. The household was selected based on specific eligibility criteria such as:
(1) New arrival IDPs. (2) IDPs households with pregnant & lactating mothers.
(3) IDPs family with malnourished children. (4) Female headed households with children under 5 years.
(5) Child headed household. (6) Headed household with chronic diseases.
(7) IDPs family with disable person. (8) Elderly > 50.
Each household received one food basket per month with contents (75 kg of white flour, 2 litres cocking oil, 5 kg sugar, 24 can bean, 24 can basilica and 1 kg Iodine salt.

Efadah has completed the forth round of food vouchers distribution in Gufl Shamer district, targeted 1,878 vulnerable households. The project funded by OCHA and implemented by Efadah in partnerhip with NRC.

Project Kit-off Meeting
Efadah staff organized a project start-up meetings in the targeted areas of Goful Shamer district with local stakeholders and authorities, IDPs and community representatives and volunteers
During the meeting, Efadah has shared key project information, and donors, project objectives, activities, beneficiary’s identification criteria, duration and project components and the community develpoment committees roles during project period, including information about Efadah and donor.
Food Assistance - Al-Hudeadah
Through Alsageen Foundation Fund, Efadah has completed the food basket distribution project, targeted 950 vulnerable households in Hajjah and Hodeidah governorates, espefically the families of prisoners and detainees living in both governorates. Food basket contents (55 kg of white flour, 2 litres cocking oil, 5 kg sugar, 24 can bean, 24 can basilica and 1 kg Iodine salt.
Total beneficiaries 950 household (6,650 Individual)
